I am interested in undertaking a PTLLS course - What do I do now?

You can progress your interest further by completing the online application form or by calling 0845 6026398 for an application pack.

How long will the process take?

You should receive your application form with 3 working days if you are calling for an application form. We will then review your application form to assess your qualifications and experience and inform you of the nearest college to you that is running the PTLLS course. Depending on when we receive your application form, this process may take several weeks altogether.

How will I know if I have been allocated a place on a PTLLS course?

You will be informed via letter whether you have been successful in obtaining a free place on the PTLLS course or not following the application and selection process. We intend to inform you within 4 weeks of receiving your application form.

This is all new to me - Is there any support available?

Yes, support is available. The Pass on Your Skills initiative provides a mentor service which is available to participants and is available to answer any questions or concerns you may have. The Pass on Your Skills Mentor will guide and mentor you through the process of potentially changing your career to become a part time or full time teacher, tutor or trainer in your vocational subject area.
